Faculty research groups

Within the faculty a number of groups of researchers meet on a regular basis to share ideas and discuss their research. These are great opportunities to meet others in your area and get a better understanding of what goes on in the faculty.

1. Speaker Series (aka - FREE FOOD)

The Faculty of Physical Education and Recreation is an amazingly diverse Faculty. It's full of people doing exciting research in many different areas, using a variety of theoretical perspectives and methodological approaches. As grad students, it's easy to focus in on the narrow area we work in, but in the real world we'll be expected to speak to people in different areas, paradigms etc. That's why the Associate Dean Research hosts a monthly Speaker Series. Check out the these presentations to hear about the innovative research going on in our Faculty and to mix and mingle with Faculty members and students afterward while eating FREE FOOD. That's right - FREE FOOD on a Friday afternoon. Keep your eye open for email notices!Oh, it's probably worth mentioning that FREE FOOD often leads to a group of people heading to RATT after for Beer. I'm just sayin....
